The festival celebrates the primitive methods used for the worm harvesting to supply earthworms to people tp people who love to fish. Located between Tallahassee and Apalachicola, Florida, Sopchopppy is siturated near the Apalachicola National Forest. Many worm grunters follow in the traditions of their ancestors and use worm grunting as a viable way to make a living.
